Materials & surface finishes

Specify performance,
not just a material name.

We help match strength, corrosion resistance, weight, machinability and finish to your application. Certificates and source traceability are available when specified.

Lightweight metals

Aluminum

6061 / 6063 / 6082 / 7075 / 2024

  • Excellent strength-to-weight ratio
  • Good machinability
  • Anodizing and conversion coating

Corrosion & strength

Steel

Stainless steel 303 & 304 / 17-4PH / carbon and tool steels

  • High strength and wear resistance
  • Passivation and heat treatment
  • Suitable for demanding mechanisms

Conductive alloys

Brass & copper

C360 / H59 / C110 and others

  • Electrical and thermal conductivity
  • Low friction and attractive finish
  • Plating options available

Engineering polymers

Plastics

POM / nylon / PC / PEEK / PTFE

  • Low weight and electrical insulation
  • Bearing and chemical-resistant grades
  • Stress considerations reviewed

Important

Call out the exact standard and appearance.

Color names such as “black anodized” are not enough for controlled cosmetic work. Include the alloy, finish standard, color reference, masking requirements, surface preparation and acceptance criteria on your drawing.
